This is a small ebony buckler formed from  small plates of bone which have
been interlocked and glued together. The buckler's ebony surface appears to
absorb the light and does not flash when the light hits it as a metallic
shield might do. This is a perfect buckler for anyone attempting to be
stealthy and not wanting to carry around a heavy shield.
