Item description:

This wooden shield is rectangular and of moderate size. Its outside surface
is curved and completely black, but has a image delineated by a difference
between glossy and dull black shapes. The shiny black parts form the shape
of a pair of hands making an unusal gesture in front of a complex knotted
design. The whole shield has a faint purple aura that extends a few inches
into the air around it.
