Several dozen large leaves, sharply triangular, are here. They have veins
running down their length like grass, but they terminate in a nearly
defined stem at the base. At the base, one side of the leaf extends farther
down than the other and is rounder, giving the the whole leaf an outline
not unlike an elf's ear.
