Item description:

The board for this chess set has squares with alternating light and dark
woods that are tightly fitted together and sanded smooth. The pieces of
the set all seemed to be carved from bleached driftwood that has landed
on nearby beaches. There are, of course, lighter colored pieces, and a
set of darker, less bleached pieces. It appears the board has been set up
and ready for play.
