Centaurs have long lived north and west of Ralnoth, just far
enough from the hustle and bustle of humans to live in peace. 
They can be raised to war and dislike intruders, but they have
learned to live with travelers passing through.

The centaur villagers have erected gates to protect their peace
and, perhaps, to protect those that might otherwise wander into
more dangerous territories beyond.
