A little-known vale lies between Mount Zendular and the Mad
Castle's marshes.

The only living inhabitants reported are wolves and spiders, and
they are none-too-friendly.  Somehow the forest seems dead, but
the reason is not immediately obvious.  Perhaps whatever struck
the life from the little village on its southeastern borders
infected the entire area.
