The Greywater is one of the longest waterways in the world. It has its
origin high in the peaks of the Ash Mountains near the Jo'Kerin Pass. It
meanders along the northern portion of the Giftsmarsch, where several
smaller streams drain into it. It defines the division between the Rud'Jali
Desert and the Ash Desert. Most of its length is not navigable by boat, and
its southern end is lost in the mire of the Swamps of Sorrow, where it
ostentiously drains into the Amagawa River.

The region it flows through is the subject of several local legends. The
Aztecs dare not explore it, fearing mysterious creatures they call
ahuizotl, which they believe have the power to blind their victims.

Other tales involve a benevolent fey prince and various river monsters.
