K'tin Lake

Fed by underground hot springs, K'tin Lake is located in the
caldera of a long-dead volcano, one of the southernmost peaks of the
Ash Mountains. The shore is sparsely populated by crag trolls, whose
stony black hides blend in perfectly with the obsidian walls of the
barrier cliffs that all but enclose the Lake. Wild goats also eek
out an existance on the barren shores. The K'tinga Falls spill out
through a gap in the southern end of the caldera, and rush down the
hillsides to form the the K'tinga River.
Once, K'tin Lake was once the site of Castle Luz, the seat of the old
Luz Confederation. This venerable murlock nation was subdued by the
Naginag Combine and the Luz and their allies were dispersed or killed.
The magnificent sandstone Castle was razed by Combine siege engines and
left as a heap of rubble at the bottom of the Lake.
Recently, K'tin Lake has become a hotbed of rebel activity. Insurrectionists
from Natchsburg have joined with the D'gal and the
K'tinga murlock tribes, former allies of the Luz, to harry and harass
Combine forces in K'tinrooj and Natchsburg.
