The Tower of Power

Legend says that it fell from the skies -- a glittering spike many 
hundreds of feet long. It lodged into the stony earth north of the 
 Dje Well. The people of Q'thelas found it and claimed it. They hollowed
it out and made it an observatory of the stars from which it came. 
Mages of great talent dwelt there, channeling their spells through 
the elemental crystal. Using its magic, they summoned beings both 
divine and profane and held them in a ring of black stone mined 
from another world...

After the Fall of Q'thelas, it came into the possession of the Order 
of Harmony. Over the years, as the monks of the Order perfected their 
art, the Tower gained a reputation as a proving ground for sword-
thains looking to test their melee skills against some of the most 
proficient martial-arts fighters in the realm. The monks greatly honor 
their Quelese forebears.  In memory of the leader of the Grand Army of
old Q'thelas, the head monk is named Battle Master of the Tower of Power.
