The Fortress of Sutton Vu was built near the beginning of the Age of Chaos,
only a few years after the Great Wars began. A nameless orc chieftain had
it constructed from boulders gathered from avalanche zones and the bones of
massive beasts. It is said he was aided by demons, and that they laid
spells into the rock and bone to preserve it against the erosion of time.
Its horned towers have stood virtually unchanged for thousands of years.
Sutton Vu was an important rallying point for the forces of the Evil
Immortals. It was sacked at least a dozen times by Quelese armies. They
established their own forts at Q'Ital, Q'Seneg and Q'Inag specifically to
monitor and counter military operations staged from Sutton Vu.

In time, Q'thelas fell. The Quelese withdrew to Q'Inag, and though the
Great Wars rolled to a close, the area around Sutton Vu remained a hotbed
of orcish raids. To protect their assets at the Tower of Power, the Order
of Harmony sent out a small army of monks. Their martial prowess rousted
the poorly-trained orcs at Sutton Vu, and the Order took possession of the
fortress.

With oricsh incursions curbed, exiles from Q'Inag and colonists from the
Dunn Hurr established Westfall and the foundations of Castle Rambert were
laid. The Ramberts paid a minor tribute to Sutton Vu in exchange for the
Order's protection, a relationship that has persisted to this day.

Sutton Vu served as an important outpost during the First and Second
Barbarian Wars. In later times, the monks of Sutton Vu joined forces with
the Naginag Combine, forming the Second Legion.
