Long have rumors abounded of a hidden caldera in the high passes of the
southern Ash Mountains. History recounts the First and Second Barbarian
Wars, when hordes of goblins, orcs, ogres and trolls poured down  into the
K'tinga River Valley, riding fantastic beasts and sporting  weapons of rock
and bone.

The paths through the Wilderness of Zin, into the foothills of the Ash
Mountains, are fraught with peril.  Somewhere in the mountain peaks lay the
hidden passage into the Ashborian Plateau.  However, this hostile region is
claimed by the Lords of Ashboria:  the leaders  of an unknown number of
rival tribes that vie for control of the  plateau and its resources.
