On the island Kordan, south of the alchemist's castle, is an area all the
local communities use as a dumping ground. Over the course of decades, the
magical effects of botched potions, used scrolls and wands and broken
enchanted items have suffused the trash and surrounding soil with an arcane
taint. Some of the garbage has spontaneously arisen as golems of various
sorts.  The creatures are not aggressive, and if destroyed, can often be
salvaged for usable equipment.
