The Desert City of Linholt

The city of Linholt was once a thriving community, one of the finest in the
land until dreaded Vesden the Conqueror suddenly attacked with his vast
army.

The city rounded up all able bodied men and young adult males to fight in 
the battle. They fought valiantly, however they were unprepared for the
sheer number of soldiers and ultimately lost.

After his successful attack, Vesden threw the king and all of his advisors
into the dungeon, while forcing all of the residents that survived the
battle into manual labor. Those who were unable to work were put  to death
or tortured for Vesden's amusement.

Crops slowly began getting less and less productive in the years following
the battle. Eventually, nothing would grow in the sandy, dry dirt that was
once furtile soil. Since then, the entire region has turned into a dry and 
desolate desert.

Over thirty years have passed since the battle. The city is now in a state
of disrepair.

None dare attempt to overthrow Vesden the Conqueror. Will you be the one to
save the day?
