Subject: A notable victory

Psythe and I set out to destroy the sun angel madriel.
After battling past his guards and protectors, we reached the avatar of light.
With many an earth-shattering spell we felled him.
Upon his death did arise a wrathful angel, blazing like the sun and scorching us
with his fury.
But we persevered, chipping away at this flaming messenger of destruction.
At first the battle seemed hopeless, doomed before it could begin.
But after a while, it seemed we were matching him stroke for stroke, and besting
him at that.
Finally he lay dying, bloodied, fatally poisoned and withering on the ground.
With a final concerted effort, we smote him to the ground, dead.
As he fell, the terrible flames which engulfed his body and which he scorched and
burned us with slowly died away.
We had extinguished the flames of the sunangel Madriel.
