You don't have to buy the info, all you have to do is
cast locate metallic scorched |grep meteorite
couple things to remember is that this will only give you the room name so its not
magical information that will suddenly make you able to get sky iron. 
second thing to remember is that it depends on the locate spell, and will get better
results by wearing mage clev gear.
