If you want to be aligned, you should be willing to pay the price of maintaining
that alignment. If it gets so easy to avoid the effects of offset changes and the
effects of other mobs on your alignment, then essentially your idea would allow people
to change alignment whenever they like, without suffering the cost of keeping that
align.
