Subject: a comprhensive list of all the rules shouldices bot breaks

 So I'd just like to point out that by my count shouldices bot currently
breaks 9-10 rules, it would be 11 but the no newbie island boting rule
actually specifically excludes archais.

1.3  - Thou shalt not screw with mobs in newbie zones

His bot has been spoted doing things on Archais, which by default has him
fucking with things there, and seeing as he is a bot with DND mode on he is
also undetectable by most means a newbie would use which would lead to
confusion on what is going on with the mobs.


5.8  - Thou shalt not loot the corpses of other players

I admit this one is a bit loose, but I'd consider bsacing and harvesting
teeth messing with corpse 'loot' his bot does this to other peoples kills.
Hell he actually does it to other peoples kills even when he isn't boting.

If you don't consider this a violation of rule 5.8 it should perhaps  be
given it's own rule and this jack ass behaviour punished apropriately.

5.11 - Thou shalt not have stupid triggers

His triggers kill things bsac things and harvest teeth from things
regardless of what other people might be doing in the area, including
talking to a mob, trying to turn in jobs, accept jobs, accept quests etc.
Seems like his triggers are pretty stupid to me.

6.3  - On the newbie islands, high levels shall yield to newbies

His bot doesn't yield to players anywhere. It kills without regard for
people being present, in fact he runs it in DND mode so his bot can't even
be aware of people being present.


6.4  - Thou shalt not kill steal

Though I admit I haven't personally seen it, I've heard reports of
shouldices bot showing up and killing a mob after someone has retreated
from it to heal up or regen or whatever, if that doesn't qualify as kill
stealing I don't know what does.

6.5  - Thou shalt not loot equipment

This is the same reasoning as rule 5.8

6.7  - Bots must always yield in a resource conflict

Above reasoning shows clearly that his bot does not yield in a resource
conflict with other players. His bot isn't even capable of being aware of
resource conflicts (althouth he surely is himself, he likely just gives no
shits.)


8.6  - Your bot must be halfway intelligent about triggers

Again, bsacing/harvesting other peoples kills, killing mobs people are
interacting with, killstealing. His bot is not half way intelligent about
its triggers at all.


8.8  - Your bot must not run in any newbie zones below level 20

Technically he isn't breaking this rule unless someone has managed to spot
his bot on kordan or sloe, but it has been on archais, and while
technically not explicitly stated in the rule, I believe boting on the
newbie islands period is bad form.

8.10 - Bots must always yield in resource conflicts

See rules 6.3

8.11 - Your bot must properly cope with unexpected events

Again his bot bsacs and harvests other peoples mobs, it kills mobs people
are already interacting with and killsteals, his bot does not at all cope
with unexpected events.


Given shouldices past behavior, his nature of being a general asshole and
all around public nuisance, his lack of respect for other players in
general, and the fact that he is VERY aware of the rules and chooses to
break them anyways I feel like he deserves a very harsh punishment.

Personally I'd delete his character, but seeing as you tend to be more
reasonable than that I'd be willing to settle with whatever you think is
fair as long as his bot stops doing its thing. His bot has forced the hand
of at least one builder to change things after that builder found out his
mob had a 17% load probability after being killed repeatedly by this bot.
This is only one among many problems his bot has caused. I ask you to drop
the hammer on shouldice, we all know he deserves it.
