Evening, i remember seeing a bunch of discussions about favor in the past,
as its for the moment not really important if you have 1 or 75 favor,
except for bragging it. I came up with 3 new cleric spells or skills for
this purpose. All of these require a certain amount of favor. A favor
should be given to everyone, also to logged off characters every real life
day up to your max cleric level, so a level 30 cleric could have 30 favor
at maximum, which would take 30 days to get. These 3 skills would ask your
god to restore certain people. Following ideas. Restore self: you may get
that at level26 to 28 cleric. This spell uses 10 favor to restore you.
Restore group: This should be a level 30 to 32 cler skill. Takes 20 favor
and restores the whole group. Very useful for large powerful things like
some dragons deep in the underwater ruins:). Restore Mud: This level 34 to
36 cler skill takes 30 favor to restore the whole Mud. For every person you
restore you get xp. Lets say... the level of the person multiplied by 2000
- so for a level36 char you get 72k xp. Number is just an example. If you
have a high playerbase and use the restore mud skill you can get a ton of
xp. This would be okay, as you have to wait a month to recharge 30 favor.
Same applies for restore group skill, for restoring yourself it would be
also ok. All these skills should have a cooldown of.... hm 20 or 25 ticks,
so that you cant attack a mob, retreat if you are low on hp and mana,
restore, go in again, ret out and restore again. This 20 ticks limit, which
are 10 rl minutes would prevent players to become extremely powerful and
nearly  invincible if they hoarded favor. Cleric cast level should reduce
the required favor, for every 10 clev 1 favor less, so in full clev you
would only need 25 favor to restore the mud or 5 favor to restore yourself.
If you arent really good in the skill, the chance to fail is higher. If you
fail, no or only 1 to 3 favor should be taken, but you would have still to
wait 20 ticks to try it again. Loosing 30 favor for nothing just sucks :)
When someone uses the restore mud skill, every player should see who used
that skill. It should be possible to get something like freak favor, so
there is a small chance that you get more than 1 favor. Like a 1% chance
that you get 10 or 20 favor instead of the 1 you would normally get. I hope
