i can't think of any align quests which can't be done by someone with  a
different align. I've known neutral and evil aligned players  who completed
the lunatic quest. Yes, players have a choice to log in during events to
comlet even quests, but like you said, you can't access event quests from
the past, so someone who is starting out new now could be short 100 quests
or more right off the bat, so will never be able to reach the top of the
leaderboard. Also, don't forget that just because deeds like the one you
recently did as a shadowfax follower may not show up in deed list, but
still count toward your total on the leaderboard. Finally, potion
submitting is an achievement, and while i agree it will be a little more
difficult for new players to reach the same totals as a long time player,
its still an achievement so won't count  on the quests leaderboard anyway.
Also keep in mind lots of new spellcomps are always being added so I'm not
even sure  its much of an issue anyway.
