I for one think this is a good idea. If the goal of newbie island jobs is
to get newer players to do jobs and exploring to find items, I think they
need to be given a little bit of help at first. I think providing an area
name for island jobs is a good idea. They still have to explore said area
to find the item, but it gives them a place to start looking and won't
leave people as frustrated. It's ok if this is not done for mainland jobs
as the mainland is meant to be higher level. Ideally it would be able  to
be a little more level appropriate (IE not asking a level 29 to go to the
myconid colony), but that's less important IMO than making newbie jobs a
little more feasible for newer players.
