Favor represents your standing with your god.  Your current favor status
with your god can be seen with the 'whoami' or 'favor' commands.

The maximum amount of favor you can have depends on your cleric level and
charisma.

Favor is gained automatically while a player is active.  Players can gain
favor more quickly by sleeping, making sacrifices or completing tasks from
an official priest of their god. Being the same alignment as your god
or their favored class gives a small boost to regaining favor.

The meditate skill will allow you to regain favor up to a certain threshold.

The petition skills and certain powerful cleric spells require favor be paid
in order to use them.
