Fishing derbies are special events that are held periodically throughout
the day on Fridays. You will see announcements on the event channel when
a derby is about to begin.

To participate in a fishing derby, get a fishing pole, find some water
and start fishing! The derby uses our existing 'Catch of the Day' (CotD)
mechanics to keep track of whoever has the largest fish. The player with
the largest fish at the end of the derby is the winner. The Catch of the
Day is reset at the beginning of each derby.

Winners of fishing derbies receive gold, experience, the soul of the sea
boon and, if it is their first time winning, an achievement. Once you win a
derby, you will not be eligible to win another until the soul of the sea
boon wears off.

If the winner of the fishing derby is not logged in at the end of the
derby, the server will attempt to find a runner-up.

You can see the largest fish you've ever caught using 'show fish'. This
can also be bragged.
