Usage:
lapidary assemble <type> [materials]

Mages skilled in lapidary and the magic of crystals can learn how to craft
specialized magical weapons, rods (one-handed) and virges (two-handed).

Deceptively simple magical devices, they consist of a lapidary orb or gem
mounted to one end of a handle or haft, with a grip affixed to the other end.
The skill of rod crafting is in the application of mana and alignment of the
materials within arcane tolerances, as well as the installation of a conjured
crystal light. When properly assembled, these weapons focus ambient mana
fields into potent bursts of magical energy.

The speed of a rod depends on the materials used for the body and grip. The
damage type can also differ, with orbs tending to produce blasts and gems
more focused beams. Those adept at any of the other elemental focus skills
can awaken latent affinities in the mineral of the orb or gem so that it
deals elemental damage as well.
