Usage:
<command> | wc [-l] [-w] [-c]

'wc' stands for 'word count', and is used to display the number of lines,
words, and characters sent through a pipe.  An example use of wc would be:

changes 20 | wc

This command displays the last 20 changelog entries, then pipes those
lines of text into the 'wc' filter, which counts the number of
lines, words, and characters.  At the end of the command, 'wc' will
print the totals.
