Ships with hardpoints can have equipment mounted to them, such as fishing
nets and salvage dredges. These allow your vessel to gather resources from
the open open ocean. Areas will become depleted of resources as they are
harvested, so make sure to move around.

than similarly-priced vessels in their class.
