Keywords are: 'traps category categories kinds types' Traps are devices designed to capture prey or damage opponents remotely. There are three categories of traps: 1. Booby traps. These have low to no cost and require little preparation. They are not as successful as more complicated traps but they are cheap, disposable and easily reset. 2. Mechanical traps. These traps are sophisticated instruments which require an intimate knowledge of thieving skills to implement and disable. 3. Magical traps. These traps simulate magical abilities in order to detect targets and dole out damage. They rely on shadow magic and a great deal of skill to install and repair. Trapped objects cannot be worn unless the trap has been disabled. Trap information is not saved to player files. Traps can only be installed, repaired and removed by players within instances.
