%allow <playername>
%disallow <playername>

These commands allow a channel owner or admin to give a player access to
a channel.  Players who have been allowed can use the channel even if it
is read-only or password protected.

This is a great way to set up channels for special events, where you want
to limit access but not give admin power or give out the password.
