One unusual saving throw is 'normsave', which is resistance to physical
attacks.  Normsave can only be obtained using spells and when using skills
such as 'armored skin', but some monsters have normsave by default.

When fighting a creature with a high resistance to physical attacks, it
may be helpful to have a 'nonorm' weapon, which is a weapon that does not
do physical damage, reducing some of the normsave on the monster.

Note that acid attacks and spells are thrown against normsave.  Some
monsters are immune to acid but may still be vulnerable to normal attacks.
