Some spells and skills can temporarily blind an opponent. You can be blinded
by bright lights, dust, or even toxic gas. If you are blinded, you will have
a difficult time perceiving and manipulating your environment until it wears off.

Blinded enemies are easier to flee from. Being blinded makes it more
difficult to hit with many warrior and thief skills. Ranged attacks such as
throwing weapons and firing arrows are nearly impossible. Most spells are
aimed magically and are not dependent upon sight, so blindness is not as
great an impediment to spellcasters.

The flaming debuff greatly hampers your ability to resist being blinded.
