A handful of spells have the ability to light creatures on fire,
bestowing the flaming condition. Flaming creatures take fire damage
over a short duration. The flames can be put out by the 'create
water' spell, or by immersion in water, such as diving into an
underwater room.

The mage spell 'blaze' interacts with the flaming condition, greatly
increasing the damage the spell inflicts if the target is on fire.
Being on fire greatly decreases your ability to resist being blinded.

Saving fire will help prevent you from catching fire.

Creatures made primarily of fire or water cannot catch fire.
