The 'brew acid' skill is mid-level alchemical skill that permits the
brewing of dangerous and volatile acid.  As with similar skills,
the brewer mixes the ingredients together in a liquid container
to produce the acid, but unlike other brew skills, the parameters
for brewing acid are fairly strict.

Acid requires a minimum of five ingredients but can have up to eight.
Using higher level ingredients generally produces more potent acid.
The ingredients used must have one component from each of the
following categories:

1. A spellcomp, herb or food composed of fruit or fungus with a sour taste.
2. A spellcomp with a salt composition.
3. A poisonous herb with a bitter taste.
4. A spellcomp composed of pure, soft metal such as silver, copper,
   tin, zinc, cadmium, arsenic, mercury or lead. Alloys do not work.

When bottled, it can be thrown at enemies.

Acids can also used to increase the yield of ores by dissolving excess
minerals. Various types of material can be rendered down into small
amounts of basic compounds, such as wood into fibers or bones into
lime. Knowledge of the 'reduce reagent' skill increases the odds of
success.

WARNING: using acid on objects weighing less than 5 pounds is
not recommended. It is very likely the object will completely dissolved,
with no useable residue.

Unless bottled, acid will lose its potency over time.
