This mid level mage skill allows you to channel flame and heat from
the fire plane to melt or warm things.  This skill is useful against
magically cast ice walls, ice prisons, and helps to counter the
effects of various chilling spells.

Melt is a time delay skill, and it may take significant time to
melt large objects.
