This spell weakens the boundary between the spirit world and reality,
allowing spectral hands to grasp upward from the ground and steal the
life of enemies, sickening them. The attacks also cause feelings of
dread, lowering morale. Ethereal creatures take extra damage from
attacks by the hands.

The focal plane of the spell is solid ground around the caster, and over
time the boundary will restrengthen of its own accord.
