A mobile, or 'mob' as it's commonly called, is a non-player creature that
wanders the world of Alter Aeon.  An example of a mob would be Thantos the
Executioner, or the Mud School Trainer, or even a beastly fido.  An example
of something that isn't a mob is any other player, usually anyone who is
visible when you use the 'who' command.

These are also called 'non-player characters', or 'npcs'.
