Title: a book titled "The Ten Scions of Tempus"
"The Ten Scions of Tempus" compiled and edited by Mizuki Shisho the
Imperial Archivist.
Tempus, called Duat or Nidhoggr, a god near forgotten in the depths of
time, fell from the great tree. There he forged from Primordial Chaos the
plane of Chaos, creating a path between the lowest of the Demon Realms and
the fringes of Purnima, Plane of Light. He sired ten children in his image
and bearing some portion of his power. All of dragonkind can trace their
lineage, however thin the bloodline may be, back to one (or more) of these
ten:
Shenlong the Golden Dragon King, sire of gold and platinum dragons. Founder
of the Dragon Empire of Suboria, he was instrumental in the human victory
over the drow. He reigned as a kind and goodly ruler until he ascended to
the Planes of Light.
Thas'Tau the Silver Dragon King, sire of silver and electrum dragons.
Successor of Shenlong, he too reigned as a benevolent ruler of the Dragon
Empire until he ascended to the Planes of Light. Humble and light-hearted,
it is said he prefers to disguise himself as other beings rather than
reveal his true nature.
Fao Xiang the Copper Dragon King, sire of copper, brass and bronze dragons.
He dwelt in the Ash Mountains, where he ruled over tribes of kobolds,
lesser wyrms and dragon-ogres. He is believed to have ascended to the
Planes of Light, where some believe he watches over his offspring still.
Magar the Many-Colored, sire of chromatic dragons. He inherited the
elemental powers of his father, Tempus. Some claim he was afflicted with
the Chaos Sickness. Unlike most dragons, he served the Evil Immortals
during the Great Wars, and was worshipped as a deity by Aztecs, who called
him Cipactli. Though slain, remnants of his power stir in his strong places
in the Swamps of Sorrow.
Chu Chin Chow the Ancient Shadow Dragon, progenitor of shadow dragons. This
mysterious entity was last known to roost along the northeast coast of
Atmir.
Ameena the Diamond Dragon Queen, mother of diamond dragons. She travels the
planes, and is often gone for centuries. Her offspring are most numerous in
Purnima and Chaos, and all but unknown elsewhere.
Hai-Fen-Lan the Ruby Dragon, mother of ruby dragons. Known as a solitary
being, though she sometimes accompanies Ameena on her journeys. She yet
lives, and watches over the Ice Wastes of Suboria at the behest of the
Dragon Emperor.
Draj the Storm Wyrm, mother of sapphire dragons. A devout Talos-worshipper,
she befriended that god in her youth. She lived a spartan lifestyle,
surviving by raiding nearby civilzed lands. She nested between the Rud'Jali
Desert and the Salt Flats. She was slain by an overwhelming assualt by the
Naginag Combine. Her offspring are most commonly found in the southeast of
Atmir.
Julg the Emerald Dragon Princess, mother of emerald dragons. She was taken
captive by giants while young. They bred her and enslaved her few broods.
She is believed to have perished during the events of Skyfall.
Lei-Laquan the Garnet Dragon, mother of garnet dragons. Fiercely
protective, she has presided over the Ryuu Rookery in Suboria since the
beginning of Shenlong's rule.
