The cover of this book has an image of a tall, slender woman, dressed in
brown robes. Her hair is a golden yellow, her expression joyful, and a pair
of shimmering wings extend from her shoulder blades, by which she floats.
The Realm of Thuoduhr: Introduction
Written by Fraewyn Ralkerth
Thuoduhr is a world of cloud and mist, constructed solely by rune magic.
The planet floats near the Prime Material plane--it is close enough that
surges of Prime Material magic leak in with explorers. There is no solidity
to most of the world. However, within that realm the Thuoduhrans, masters
of runecraft worked the planet to be hospitable to those who cannot
levitate.
Most of what they construct is alive of some sort. This might be an
abomination to some cultures, but it is a sign of reverence for what the
Thuoduhrans were granted.
Despite their extreme power, the Thuoduhrans are humble, goodly beings who
were practically immortal until slain by magic. They do not seek godhood,
though they certainly are wise and powerful. Instead, they worship Xandar,
and all their runic magic are blessed by his most devout.
The Thuoduhrans appear as tall, slender creatures, with a pair of feathered
wings. Their skin has a bluish cast to it, and their eyes can differ from
golden to blue to violet. Their hair is black by default, though they can
change their hair's color at will. Normally, Thuoduhrans can have their
hair instinctively change colors depending on what emotion they feel at the
time, however if the Thuoduhran wills, the hair stays its normal black
despite their emotions.
Thuoduhrans usually dress in plain brown robes, which signify their
humility, though they always carry a holy symbol of Xandar on their person,
either hung on a medallion or branded into their clothes. A thuoduhran of a
royal family also wears a choker with a specific gemstone pendant that
displays the family's colors. They do not wear footware.
