Title: a tome entitled, 'The K'tinga River Valley after the Great Wars'

You begin reading from the tome:

'By the beginning of the Reign of Dentin, the K'tinga River Valley looked
much as it does today. The destructive magiks of the Great Wars had altered
the land and changed the local weather patterns. What was once ocean were
now salt flats. Savanna had turned to desert, and forest to savanna.
Rainfall from the mountains, however, ensured that the K'tin Lake caldera
was now teeming with life. Outlying tributaries of the K'tinga River had
dried up, but the river was fed by headwaters in the K'tin Lake and flowed
to the sea.

The region was severely depopulated. The Forces of Darkness had been swept
from the land. The Quelese were little more than a small, wandering tribe.
Murlocks, sensitive to the high concentrations of magic that had been used
during the wars, had been severely mutated. The mountains were populated
with goblins, trolls, ogres, and orcs, but these former allies of the Evil
Ones began to quarrel among themselves and swiftly degenerated into the
barbarians that they are now.

The history from the beginning of the Reign of Dentin until just before the
rise of the Naginag Combine will be presented in the following chronology:

Chapter One: The Return of Civilization (1-305 RD)
Chapter Two: In the Shadow of the Dragon (325-373 RD)
Chapter Three: The First Barbarian War (386-395 RD)
Chapter Four: Ubarite-Luz War (402-406 RD) and Troll War (403-408 RD)
Chapter Five: The Second Barbarian War (409-414 RD)
Chapter Six: Rise of the Murlock Nations (415-429 RD)
Chapter Seven: The Trans-River War (429-449 RD)
