Godslayer: a biography of Don Milano Juan-Pedro Gonzales Andorra
written by Don Juan Alejandro Ortiz Gonzales and Marina Cortez

Milano was born in the village of Venezia on the Island of Sloe. His
father was a shipwright.

When Milano was six years old, his father orchestrated the construction of
a fleet of sailing boats at a tiny island off the coast of Sloe with the
intention of leaving the area in search of a better life. He called the
tiny island "Granada". The various Zulian villages attempted to stop
refugees from leaving with him, and even attacked his fleet while they were
preparing to sail. The Zulian navies sunk many of the boats. The ship
carrying Milano's family, named "La Esperanza", escaped, but it was badly
damaged. It was attacked by monsters on the open sea. The boat was sunk.
Everyone that didn't drown died from dehydration. Everyone except for
Milano.

By some miracle, Milano survived for weeks alone on the open water before
washing ashore on the mainland near Anchorhead Cove. He was discovered,
dehydrated and unconscious, by a gnomish caravan. He returned with the
gnomes back to Dora, where he lived with them and learned of their ways.
Zulians were more technologically advanced than the denizens of the Dunn
Hurr, and the gnomes were very interested in Milano's rudimentary knowledge
of that technology.

Milano recounts that the time with his adopted gnome tribe fundamentally
shaped his temperament and worldview. He learned to be altruistic,
gracious, methodical and curious. He also learned religion from the
gnomes. He lived in Dora for about four years.

Milano visited the royal court of Dunnhurst as part of the Doran delegation
when he was 10. His exotic appearance and heritage immediately caused him
to be a favorite among the nobility of Dunnhurst, who were intrigued by his
tales of Zulians' culture and history. Since Milano was growing too tall
to comfortably live with the gnomes anyway, it was decided that he would
remain in the royal palace as a retainer of the court.

This situation was short-lived, however, since Castle Dunnhurst was
destroyed soon thereafter, and Milano fled from the city with other
refugees to Rogonia. From there, he worked as a sailor on various trade
ships and had the opportunity to visit many different cities and lands. He
continued to work as a sailor until he chanced upon a group of adventurers
who were looking for a spear carrier. With this party, Milano battled
against trolls in the Rittermark. Milano had his first taste of
adventuring life, and he discovered that he liked it. A lot.

Milano then wandered the world, alternatively working as an explorer,
sailor, mercenary or adventurer wherever opportunity took him. He spent a
number of years on Ramanek bouncing between Airam and the Emerald City as a
freelance treasure hunter, where he frequently delved into ancient dungeons
hidden in the wastelands. Milano accumulated many of his artifacts from
there.

Milano then moved to the mainland, and he worked as an explorer for the
Arcadian chapter of the Cartographers' Guild. He was soon swept up in one
of the many bloody conflicts between Arcadia and Darcadia, working as a
scout for the Arcadians.

After the war, Milano found himself out of a job, and, at the suggestion of
his former employers, he moved to Avalon, where he was hired as a mercenary
by the Avalonian army. He also fell in love and married his first wife,
Primrose, whom he called Rosalinda.
