Title: a book titled 'The fall of Dunann and the creation of the underwater ruins'
Several centries ago there was once an ancient civilization of people that
lived in an underground city known as Dunann. It was a rich and prosperous
city filled with a variety of different races all living in peace. Most of
these people were scholars, each working on furthering their studies in
their dedicated field.
Since they were so far below the surface they believed they were in no
danger from attacks and invasions. For this reason they felt they needed
very little protection and only employed a handful of guards.
Rumors say that about a centry ago, an army of underwater creatures from
the underdark broke into the city. They brought much water with them, which
flooded into the city, drowning nearly everyone. Those who were in the
castle escaped to the lower parts, and those among them who were
spellcasters, knowing the city was going to fall, set to work. The mages
summoned elemental guardians, the necromancers summoned spirits and demons
and raised some of the dead. Finally, they all gathered together to create
a powerful ward to protect their hall of kings and its many treasures from
these invaders. They were then swallowed up by the water and the invading
army, and have never been seen again.
It is said that to this day, even with all their might and power the
aboleth ruler and his army have still failed to break the ward and gain
access to the hall of kings.
