The continent of Gianasi

Centuries ago something happened that caused mutations and things to grow way
beyond the norm on this continent.

When the gods investigated the continent they were amazed at the size of the
wildlife and plant life. The gods sank all the land around it into the ocean
leaving nothing but tall cliffs surrounding the continent. They were not
worried about the flying creatures. With miles of ocean to reach the
mainland, none would ever survive the trip.

Since bone dragons never tire and are not affected by weather it would still
be possible for researchers and the like to return for further studies.
