Three mind altering drugs are known to exist within the depths of the
Shadow Plane. Each carries power, temptation and a price that few can truly
comprehend.

Hollow Joy induces a state of euphoric detachment, as if the world has been
muffled and slowed, pain and fear dulled to a distant murmur. For a brief
time, the user sees the shadow in all things, but when the high fades so
too does something within. Laughter feels thinner, memories slip and the
user may find pieces of their self left behind in the dark.

Threadluck is harvested in rituals best left undescribed. When ingested or
injected, it stitches the user into the Weave of Shadow, heightening
awareness of connections both seen and unseen. For several minutes time
seems slower, enemy movements more predictable and webs, literal or
metaphorical, become navigable with supernatural ease. But there is always
a price. The user may find themselves pulling threads long after the effect
fades, nudging events, unraveling friendships or becoming entangled in
fates not their own. Addiction is common while transformation is not
unheard of.

Nightglass allows the user to peer into the hidden layers of the Shadow
Plane, revealing paths, predators and secrets otherwise invisible. Shapes
shift unnaturally and whispers brush against the user's consciousness,
offering guidance or temptation. Extended use can blur the line between the
real and the reflected, leaving the drinker uncertain whether they are
walking through the material world or a reflection of it, and whether the
eyes watching are their own or someone else's.
