To flee from him, Or die! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Personality ----------------------------------------------------- Your leaping attack *** DESTROYS *** him! ----------------------------------------------------------------- History --------------------------------------------------------- Kataw was borne in a strictly military family. In a kingdom which prided itself in their brilliant generals, Kataw had the privilege to be the son of the most successful one. Sapphireyanos, or more commonly known as the "General", was able to turn the hordes of armies threatening the Kingdom of Nehima many times and lead successful raids against their own strongholds. Returning from a campaign against the Emir of Kagan, he brought one more surprise to his family. Not just riches, jewels, or gold, he broug ht a baby with ebony skin and sapphire blue eyes. No one questioned him and his decision to adopt the boy. He was named Kataw, and grew in the family with all the privileges his position offered him. As the son of a general, he was trained in all the arts of war. He was groomed to accept death. "Death is our companion boy. He is going to be always with us. It might work with us, but it could turn on us at any moment." Those were the words of the family weapons master and Kataws personal trainer. He grew up to be a general, the youngest in history, forming a bond of friendship with the prince of Nehima. Kataw, idealised the prince and always aspired to be like him. But the days of innocence were about to end. The king of nehima was assassinated. In response to that, a civil war ripped the kingdom apart, as the many, so called, successors, clamed the throne for themselves. It was a time of strife and hatred. But the princes and kataw's friendship stood the test. They both lead successful after successful battles against their enemies. Kataw grew to be the princes write hand man. In an almost near defeat situation, Kataw was able to turn the tide and destroy the forces of the viceroy Konttion. That was the last battle that ended the years of conflict. In that battle Kataw's name changed. He was named Azureyanos, The nighthunter The next day, the crowd was going to proclaim who they wanted as king. The prince and Azureyanos drank to their success. They both knew whose name was going to be on the crowd's lips. The next day came, but the people of nehima didn't cry out for the prince. They cried out for his general and second in command. "Azureyanos! Azureyanos!" they said. "We want you to rule us!" "Azureyanos, Azureyanos!" they said. "we want you to lead us!" In the beginning, the friends gazed at each other. They didn't expect that to happen. The prince took it well though. "You deserve to be king my friend. You earned it. I? was just born into it." Alas it was a lie. That same night after heavy drinking Azureyanos was poisoned. For extra mesure 3 men were sent to kill him. He managed to defeat them and while pretty hurt and sick, he left the castle. From one of the 3 assassin's, he learned that the instigator of the deed, was his trusted friend. The prince of nehima, but the truth didn't end there. He also said that the prince was the one that sent them to kill the old king of Nehima. Azureyanos was distraught. He couldn't believe that his friend would have used him in such a way. He couldn't believe that his friend caused so many needless deaths. Returning to the capital, he confronted his old friend and discovered that it was true. The prince attacked Azureyanos, but he was more than able to defend himself. But when Azureyanos was about to strike the final blow, a portal opened and the prince vanished into a flickering red glow. "I will follow you, where ever you go!"
