Created: Fri Aug 2 09:11:15 2002 Description ----------------------------------------------------- Takezo Kensei was once feared for his savage power, which he could not control, until he found a mythical sword in the snow. The sword enabled the warrior to focus his courage and power. Desiring to learn the secrets of the sword, Takezo Kensei asked the Dragon of Kiso Mountain for help. The Dragon agreed to help, but only in exchange for all of Takezo's love. Although Takezo loved a princess with all of his heart, he knew he needed the Dragon's help to become a great swordsman and save Japan. He accepted the Dragon's terms and became a Kensei, or sword saint. After winning the battle and saving his people, the Dragon came to collect payment from Takezo. The Dragon demanded the life of Takezo's beloved princess. Takezo refused, and cut out his own heart instead. He offered it to the Dragon, saying, "My love is in here. Take it." Takezo died. The Dragon, impressed by Takezo's willingness to sacrifice his own life for his people and princess, replaced Takezo's heart, and breathed fire-life back into his body. Takezo immediately began to regenerate at the site of his mortal injury and promptly regained his footing. Astonished by the pure magnitude of this development, Kensei screamed up to the dragon, "What have you done to me ruffian?!!" To this the Dragon swiftly replied, "I have given you a most coveted gift, that of immortality." He continued to say, "Young Kensei, you shall heal from any wound, compile the knowledge of countless lifetimes and ultimately hold the key to either total destruction or to salvation of this world." Hearing this, Takezo abruptly became corrupted by such divine power and grew an ominous smirk upon his face. Kensei said to the dragon, "All who hear my name shall buckle beneath its weight, the weak will perish and only the strongest shall become my entourage." The Dragon became enraged, telling Kensei, "I am your architect, your maker! I shall not become but a minion!" Takezo returned a cold, domineering gaze and without hesitation, plunged his icy steel deep into the heart of the Dragon. As he violently removed his blade from the Dragon's chest, Kensei felt the warm shower of its life-force rain upon him. Kneeling beside the Dragon's ripe corpse, Takezo calmly spoke...
