Title: preys under a Hunter's Moon -K- Description ----------------------------------------------------- Though resembling an elf, Laud appears darker and not so fair. Long silver hair reaches past the top of his shoulders. Sharp features frame his grey face, and piercing eyes stare out from beneath the cowl of his cloak. His body has slightly more girth than most elves, and he appears unnaturally strong and quick. He moves with the grace and swiftness of someone who has lived long in a violent land. Glancing at him from the corner of your eye, you would swear that he was almost transparent, as if a shade. A dusky red robe surrounds his body, appearing to absorb the ambient light. Beneath the robes you catch the glimmer of a dragonscale mail. Around his neck he wears the symbol of the Hunter, a sign that he is a priest of Tarrant. On each hand he wears a ring of power. In his right hand he grips a rune-etched ivory cane, emblazoned with strange runes and a soft glow. His left hand rests cautiously, wearily, on the hilt of a great sword, the Twinrazor. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Personality ----------------------------------------------------- What you want and what you need don't mean that much to me. ----------------------------------------------------------------- History --------------------------------------------------------- Long ago, Laud was thought to have disappeared from the lands of Alter Aeon. He had, in fact, disappeared from the surface, delving deep into the earth in search of his father's hidden lair. It was there that his father was hunted down and killed by an ancient prince of Thalenwood. After long months of searching in the dark corners of the underdark, Laud finally stumbled upon the ancient laboratory. Breaching the arcane seals was no small task, but upon breaking through he found a wealth of knowledge on the dark arts of magic, as well as ancient talismans and artifacts of great power. Laud emerged from the darkness years later somehow changed. He had spent countless hours pouring over ancient tomes and memorizing their darkest secrets. His magical powers were focused, forged into perfection. Shortly after, Laud disappeared from the lands of Alter Aeon once again. Journeying across the shadow plane in search of ancient artifacts, Laud became locked in a seemingly endless battle with the Cauldron Born. Just as the tide began to turn in Laud’s favor, an ancient entity, a deep blue something, wafted in and completely enveloped Laud, throwing him into a state of suspended animation. Time became irrelevant, as he faded from this world into the withering Void. As oblivion crept nearer, a voice came to Laud and said, “Your time is not yet come. I have work for you. Go forth and embrace the Void. Go forth, and follow the path of the Hunter.
