There have been rumors of strange happenings in the Cornian Valley. Some say
that eerie lights bob above the fields at night. Others claim that invisible
beings stalk through their midst undetected except by the gifted. Cattle
mutilations have cropped up from time to time, the wounds seemingly burned as
if by magic fire. Now, when a beloved pet is let out at night and cannot be
found the next day, the locals shake their heads and mutter to themselves
about 'them'.
