A century ago, around the time of the last sighting of the White Buck, a
previous Count of Albion disappeared in the Giftsmarsch near Warrior's
Peak. He is presumed to have been the first victim of the Wild Huntsman, a
powerful fey creature that began terrifying the region shortly thereafter.
He would waylay lone hunters in the wilderness, and soon no man would lay
foot in the Giftsmarsch alone, or after dark.

In the past few years, sightings of the Huntsman have grown fewer and
fewer. The current Count of Albion is said to be very interested in the
fate of his enigmatic foe. Past predations by the Huntsman have left his
people leery to pursue the matter themselves.
