Alter Aeon Rules of Conduct
Rule 15.4 - Informational - bug/exploit reporting
Bugs happen. Exploits happen. The administration recognize and understand
that simple fact. There is much tolerance and even respect for players who
find problems and exploits, assuming one simple condition is met:
Bugs and exploits must be reported in a timely manner.
In general, the more serious an exploit is, the more quickly it should be
reported. A minor exploit that is reported a week after discovery might
garner a pat on the back and favor in the eyes of the gods. A critical
exploit that is not reported for a day may result in freezing or thwacking
of the non-reporting player.
Below are some examples of exploits and their severity:
Minor - find a way to make a container with negative weight
Serious - brew a potion that has infinite castings of cure light
Serious - you find a way to get 20 mil exp an hour sitting in your clan area
Major - brew a potion that has infinite castings of sanc and heal
Critical - you find a way to make 200 mil exp an hour
Critical - find a way to pick up Hephestus and drop him anywhere you want
Critical - you discover an easy way to make copies of any item you can carry
Remember, the only way to protect yourself is to report it. Plus, you'll
make friends with the gods when you do report it.
