Rule 6.5 - Thou shalt not separate equipment from its rightful owner

Traditionally, equipment dropped on the ground is fair game for all.

Dropped equipment is equipment that you specifically drop, using the
'drop' command.  Putting equipment on a table or in a bag on the ground
also falls into this category.

In short, the rightful owner of a piece of equipment remains the rightful
owner until the equipment is dropped, sold, or actively given away.
Here are a few other scenarios where the equipment or items may not be
taken:

Corpses
Zapped equipment
Disarmed weapons
Corpse eq (after the corpse has been eaten)
Equipment donated for the purposes of a corpse retrieval
Equipment in a player's inventory
Equipment worn by a player
Equipment placed on a pet or golem
Weightless containers purchased via donation
Characters you happen to know the password to
