Alter Aeon Rules of Conduct

Rule 8.4 - Thou shalt not separate equipment from its rightful owner

As a general rule of thumb, the rightful owner of a piece of equipment remains the rightful owner until the equipment is discarded, sold, or actively given away. In general, equipment dropped on the ground or donated is considered discarded, but there may be cases where this is not true. When in doubt, don't be a jerk - ask if someone meant to throw something away. Exceptions to this include equipment that is removed from you without your consent, such as when you die. Additionally, weightless containers purchased via donation are NOT to be touched and must be returned. Here are a few other scenarios where the equipment or items may not be taken: Corpses Zapped equipment Disarmed weapons Corpse eq (after the corpse has been eaten) Equipment donated for the purposes of a corpse retrieval Equipment in a player's inventory Equipment worn by a player Equipment placed on a pet or golem Weightless containers purchased via donation Characters you happen to know the password to Note that there is also a grey area for storage characters that feel the need to drop containers due to weight concerns. In general, you should be polite when encountering stupidity of the level required to drop five hundred pounds of equipment on the ground in a public place. For those of you with storage characters, we strongly recommend that your character be capable of sorting its inventory without resorting to dropping stuff. If this isn't the case, you're a dumbass.
