Great care seems to have been taken when removing this skin from the bird
to ensure that as much of it was kept usable as possible. Whilst the skin
itself is quite thin, it is covered in layers of lush black feathers that
would no doubt provide warmth and water proofing to an item made from it by
a skilled craftsman.
